This is the first year since my kids could talk that their Christmas list isn't topped by something that they have their little hearts absolutely set on.
That they desire so passionately, it's all they could talk about.
Seriously.
We had to ban all discussions of it.
And I never realized exactly how simple it made things.
Frustrating, oh yeah. Stressful, you betcha.
But I'd rather take on the quest of tracking down a used, retired Lego set at a reasonable price over the feelings of indecision when swiping through the screen shots of things they only half want that litter my recent photos.
Sensing that what they do end up opening up this year won't give them that same leap of joy in their hearts.
Knowing that what I really want to do is do my darndest to fulfill what their heart truly desires.
So how does this relate to you and your glow goals?
Just like a kiddo with their heart set on THE THING they want to unwrap when the big day comes, your own heart has something it desires more than anything in the world.
And when you know exactly what you want, you start to align all of your energies toward making it a reality.

The lesson I learned is that one of the secrets of happiness rests in having a clear sense of what you truly want and where it will take you.
My kids didn't want a very specific Lego set because they wanted to just put it together.
They were imagining the fun they would have playing with it and the stories they could create.
The more specific you are about naming exactly what you want, the journeys it will open up for you and the feeling of joy it will bring, the more it increases the likelihood of things aligning to make it a reality.
Because you want it with your whole being.
