The Song That Changed My Life

Orientation for Building the Life That Lights You Up!

Hi Reader!

I'd say two of the key skills of a DJ are-

1) Reading the energy of the room compared to how they want it to feel

2) Know how to work that energy like a story to keep it flowing

And this may leave you wondering...

That's... interesting...

But it highlights the importance of music in our life experience and how that one song can change something within us, make some snap into focus or hit on something deeper than words.

Which leads me to, I’m excited to be part of something a little bit different (and refreshingly really fun).

From June 8th-12th I’ll be speaking at Inspired by the Music, a free audio only event where people who have stepped onto the field of play by starting a business are sharing the songs and lyrics that have inspired the way they make decisions, navigate the challenges and keep showing up.

(If you choose to join through my link, it supports my work and allows me to keep creating and sharing in this way, so thank you.)

And even if you aren't a business owner, this event will strike a chord about times you navigated a life-changing moment.

My session goes into the identity shifts, trusting your own path, and letting yourself be changed by the decision to move forward with a clear orientation- all from a line from a boy band song.

ORIENTATION
The ability to recognize where you are, what is true, and what direction life is inviting you toward.
Orientation is not certainty, a destination, or a plan. It is a relationship with reality that allows you to move forward with greater clarity, trust, and responsiveness.

I've gotten choked up, felt extreme clarity and danced in the dark to this song and putting my feelings into words to share with you sparked a whole new level of clarity.

I absolutely love the idea behind this because music has such a funny way of helping things click. Sometimes one lyric can explain a life lesson better than an entire training session. Music really is the gift that keeps on giving.

And because it’s audio only, it’s really easy to listen to.

You can pop episodes on right in the middle of 'all the things' and gain a new perspective about some of the biggest struggles that have been holding you back from taking oriented action.

It’s completely free to access for all 5 days and sneak peeks I've taken at the session names already have me so curious to listen.

It's a great way to hear what created a shift in someone's story and inspire your own step of oriented action (and a new playlist for the journey).

p.s. Like any great DJ, the feeling of a great night sticks with you long after. As my own version, when you register for the summit (and get the $9 upgrade option), you can download the Story Shift guide, normally $17, for free.

Every week, I share a Field Note- an observation from everyday life that reveals something worth noticing about how we navigate change, uncertainty, and the human experience. If you're looking for a gentler, more thoughtful way to move forward with greater clarity and self-trust, I'd be honored to have you in the field.
