Hi Reader!
Do you know the power of stories?
We escape into them every time we turn on the TV, pick up a book or even listen to gossip.
But are you paying attention to the stories you are telling yourself-
...about how you past is shaping your future?
...about the direction your life is taking?
...about what dreams are possible for you?
As a guest on the Forty Drinks podcast, host Stephanie McLaughlin and I talk about navigating mid-life and the stories that guide us.

In this episode I vulnerably share-
- How I found my place after moving multiple times in childhood
- What losing my mom to early onset Alzheimer's felt like as I was becoming a mom myself
- How I give myself permission to reframe my story and weave a new one
- Why I left my corporate career even though everything was 'fine'
- How I navigate the 'I don't know' about what to do next
Walking Through It
One practice that helped me reframe my story was my daily walk streak.
4 years, 3 months, 5 days... and counting
I kind of stumbled into something when I started being consistent about taking a daily walk. It started as effort, more of a workout and has evolved into a space to clear my head and release stagnant energy.
Learning that when you move your body, it changes your mind. It reduces the fight or flight response. It gives you room to breathe. It literally gives you a fresh perspective with every step.
And it cracks the door open to ask yourself 'what if...'
My newest freebie helps you take that first step of aligned action by releasing the stories that hold you back and let those wisps of the dreams on your heart float around you.
Get on the list and awaken the dreams within you.
Ask yourself- What is the story I tell myself about my life? What kind of story do I want to live over the next year? How do I let my stories guide me in how I navigate tough things in life?
Reader, sharing your story is a powerful way to give yourself some perspective on how you got here...
Take a walk this week and or grab your journal and map it out for yourself. Give yourself some perspective on where you've been and pour some love into yourself for doing the best you could with the capacity you had.
If my story helped you in anyway, I'd love to know. And if you think it could help someone you know, send them the podcast link or forward this message.
