Hi Reader!
Remember a couple weeks ago I shared how my anxiety spiked while making tie dye?
After noticing how I was feeling and doing things to support replenishing my Glow, like my daily walk, I spent some time being curious about that moment.
There were several feelings swirling as we got everything ready to make the shirts. Mostly around making a mess and keeping a pulse on my kids' feelings and actions so that this stayed in the 'this is fun' vibe.
But in mentally walking through the experience, it was the moment I started squirting the dye onto my own perfectly good shirt that I felt my anxiety spike.
A fear around doing it 'wrong'.
Now my kids weren't the ones saying this. No one was pointing and laughing at me. They were caught up in creating their own masterpieces. It was my mind.
Being able to notice that helped me pick up the thread and unravel that story (even while I'm still working through the thread from last week's song that caught me in the feels).
To see where my nervous system spiked into a Freeze state in a moment when I was planning on having an experience that supported my Connection Glow with my kids and my Creative Glow in trying a new art project of sorts.
With that awareness, I was able to take some quiet moments and reclaim my energy story from one of feeling numb and stuck, to one of intentional stillness.
To pause with those feelings and unravel the story that created them.
And come back to it with a replenished sense of Glow and confidence about what I was creating.
See my Yays at the bottom for how my creation turned out.
What the Heart Knows
Our inner workings have a lot more going on that we are conscious of.
And our heart has feelings that it doesn't have the words for.
But sometimes, the message finds a way to make it through, even if it doesn't make sense in the moment.
That's why the foundation of the Glow Map was created to help you literally draw out that invisible energy into something that helps you know what you're navigating.
Making it feel safe for your heart to share its vulnerable truth.
If you're carrying something that you can't name, the Glow Map process can help you start to notice and name the feelings you're holding.
Your Adventure of the Week
Navigating life these past several years has been stressful for the collective. And recent news is only spiking more tensions as beliefs get challenged and fears feel like they are coming true.
When we don't take take of our nervous system, of our Glow, then we spend more time in a Survival state- Freeze, Fawn, Fight or Flight.
This week, navigate life through the lens of noticing which state you are in and start to reframe and unravel the story behind it.
Reclaim the narrative and use your Glow as your guidance system.
For your Creative Glow, this could feel like-
Returning to yourself and refilling the well by taking the time to be intentionally still versus frozen.
Remembering to follow your curiosity and connecting with what spark of what you desire to create and why.
Reclaiming and owning your desire focusing it in ways to create something new.
Radiating with excitement as you take aligned actions and see your project come to life before your eyes.
This cycle acts as a compass to help you navigate your Glow Map, take aligned action and experience more ease and flow in your Glow.
I'll be sharing more about how to use this cycle in your daily life in the coming weeks, and using it as a compass for aligned action and living the life that lights you up.
One Secret to Listening to Your Heart?
Start creating moments where you're tuned in to listen.

Ask yourself-
- What is the story behind the last time my anxiety spiked?
- What is the last time I did to nurture and reset my nervous system?
- How can I plan more moments into my day to support my Glow?
- How much more Flow do I feel in my schedule when I anticipate and prepare for things that I know trigger my nervous system?
Reader, I hope this helps you see a bit into my journey of taking my own medicine and using what our Glow has to teach us about living a life that we love and lights us up.
It's not always sunshine and roses, but when we notice and explore what our Glow is telling us, it leads to a life that feels full of possibility.
What creative project have you played with lately? I have a few more lined up and it's making me actually really excited for the cooler seasons ahead. Let me know what's on your crafty bucket list!
